HIVE’s Digital Champions can help you get the most out of the internet

These days having the skills to use digital technology is a must-have. It can save people time and money, make people feel more connected and better informed.

HIVE Portsmouth’s Digital Champions are volunteers willing to share basic IT skills with their community.  The appointments are completely free and are for those who want to learn more about the basics of using devices, apps, and the internet.

A session with a Digital Champion can include:

  • Teaching someone to use Google or another web browser
  • Showing a beginner how to set up an email account
  • Helping someone to use the internet to research and plan care
  • Explaining computer terms and internet jargon

Understanding the basics of using technology can help with booking GP appointments, accessing government sites, your health records and more.

Call 02394007124 to book a time convenient for you.

Alternatively, you can visit the HIVE Community Helpdesk in person, located on the ground floor of the Central Library in the Guildhall Square between Monday-Friday (9.30 am-4 pm).
