Portsmouth Learning Disabilities: Celebration and Learning Event, 24 January 2020
Important: The event originally planned for Friday 8 November 2019 has been postponed. The new date of the event is Friday 24 January 2020.
We’re inviting people with learning disabilities, their families and professionals from across the region to join us for another day of celebration and learning.
Building on the success of 2018’s event, there will be more space dedicated to the event. There will be stalls to visit, workshops to drop into and some fun interactive activities.
The event is open to anybody with an interest in supporting adults with a learning disability – especially service users and parents/carers.
You are welcome to drop in at any time during the day.
When: Friday 24 January 2020, 10am to 4pm – come for the whole day or drop in for part of it.
Where: Gunwharf Quays training academy, entrance opposite Marks & Spencer.

Aspirations Week 2020
This event is being hosted during Aspirations Week. The aim of Aspirations Week is to help children, young people and adults to think about their futures, help them to understand the steps they can take to ensure their own success, overcome barriers and the help available – at school and beyond – to help them in reaching their goals.
Portsmouth Aspirations Week is linked to Portsmouth City Council’s Miss School Miss Out school attendance campaign – regular attendance at school raises attainment and helps pupils to achieve their goals and aspirations.
